A series
of airplane models made in the same 1/128th scale (approximately
1 meter for 1 stud brick width), celebrating the 100th year since
the first flight by Wright brothers.
This
was a very interesting challenge as the modeling technic differs
very much by its size. And as there are no such series in product
that covers many types of airplanes in same scale, I am very
satisfied to complete.
0122: Wright flyer
Very simple model as
the real thing only consists of wings and its frame.
0123: Focker Dr.1
A most famous fighter
plane in WW1. The model has the wings each in different wingspan
of 8,7,and 5 studs.
0124:
Spirit of St.Louis
This
one I wanted to make lookalike but couldn't.
0125: Dornier DoX
I
refined the modelling twice as the shape didn't match to the
looks in series total. Note the red lettering patterns that are
flush to the surface and not added on.
0126: GeeBee R1
My most favourite in this series. A cute
thing I am happy to create.
0127: Mitsubishi A6M Zero
A japanese WW2 fighter
0128: Lockeeed L749 Constellation
The
body looked too thin in 3 studs wide but looks fat in this 4
studs form...hmmm.
0129:
Lockeed F-104 Starfigter
Cool
rocketty shape!
0130:
Concorde
Supersonic passenger jet in British
Airways color. The nose can be bented using the hinged parts.
0131: Boeing B747
The
biggest of all. Most technical part is the wing
sorted in 45 degrees to the body. Except that it has a very simple
structure. The model is in old Japan Airlines color.
0132: Fairchild A-10 Thundrbolt
II
Very very
Lego-ey model... with traight wings.
0133: Voyager
It
really is an voyage an challenge to fly non-stop, non-refueling.
This model couldn't reach its thin bodies and wings like straw.
0134: Sukhoi Su-27
Flanker
The
plane I most like as an modern combat aircraft. I think the form
is done well.
0135:
Lockeed F-117 Nighthawk
Stealth
fighter cannot be dropped from the list of famed airplanes. Two
wings in tail are a trick in making as they stand slanted back.
